He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle Day and Beulah Day (Shackle); his wife Alice; his siblings, Glen Day and Leatha Westenbarger (Day); and his sons, Scott Day and Gary Coleman.
He is survived by: his children, David Coleman (Joyce), Daniel Coleman (Ruth), Harold Coleman, Mark Day (Edwin), Paul Day (Lorretta), Elizabeth Coleman, Julie Day and Jodi Hofer (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Jamie Day and Tom Westenbarger. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Albion Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
