It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Brandt of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter George "Shorty" and Irene Mary Brandt (McKenna); his in-laws, Donald Dean Nichols (Connie) and Barbara Jo Morgan (Tom); and his brother-in-law Tim Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Elizabeth Nichols; his daughter Amy Howell (Cory) of Marshalltown; his grandsons, Devon and Lucas Howell; his sister Teresa Schlorholtz (John) of Percival, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Roberts and Darla Nichols. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation in Dan's name to the Historical Society of Marshall County or Iowa River Hospice.
