With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles DeBruyn of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Newton, Iowa, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin DeBruyn and Karen Bleakney; his stepparents, Betty and Bob; and his sister Diana Glenn.

He is survived by: his wife Sue DeBruyn (Holub); and his children, Shawn DeBruyn (Nan) of Marshalltown, Chris DeBruyn (Jenni Markham) of Marshalltown and Jeff DeBruyn (Megan Willier) of State Center.

Memorials can be sent to the Arthritis Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown.
