She was predeceased by: her parents, George Johnson and Fern Johnson (Sears); her son Tim Swaim; and her siblings, John Johnson, Pam Peterson and Marcella Vogt.

She is survived by: her husband Larry Gene Swaim; and her sons, Rick Swaim (Deb) of Greenbrier, AR, Greg Swaim (Kathy) of Marshalltown, IA, Randy Swaim (Cindy) of Columbia, SC and Steve Swaim (Kara) of Marshalltown, IA. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and 9 nieces and nephews.
