She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Carr and Catherine Carr (Russell); her daughter Tera; her siblings-in-law, Lorin Miller, Gary Landas and Nancy Spence; her parents-in-law, Earl and Maxine Spence; her nephew Nate Carr; her niece Tori Landas; and also Lilith Kay.
She is survived by: her husband Elgin Spence of Mary's Catholic Church; her children, Scott Spence (Emily) of Ankeny and Lisa Mull (Chad) of Conrad; her grandchildren, Alice and Lucas; her siblings, Mike Carr (Leslie) and Donna Nepstad; and her siblings-in-law, Rod Spence, Gary Spence (Cheryl), Diana Miller, Pam Spence and Cathy Landas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or the Marshalltown Animal Rescue League.
