We bid farewell to Betty Jean Jacobs of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Ames, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 9, 2024 at the age of 90. Betty Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Ballard and Cleo Ballard (Sampson); and her sister Ilene. She is survived by: her husband John Richard Jacobs; her children, Debra Avise (Jim) of Marshalltown and Richard Jacobs of Lake Tahoe; her granddaughters, Julie and Lorie Avise; her great grandchild Logan Oetker; and her siblings, Bonnie Ballantyne of Ames, IA. and Chuck Ballard (Shirley) of McCallsburg, IA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
