He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smoldt and Velva Smoldt (Shepard). He is survived by: his friend Cindy Hanken; his wife Jami; his daughter Tina Beurskens of Marshalltown; his grandsons, Austin, Ethan (Cristina) and Michael (Katie); his daughter Jennifer Pfantz (Jeff) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Kaylem, Emma and Peyton; his great grandchildren, Bryan Hebert (Stacey) of Marshalltown and Faith; and his siblings, Frank Smoldt, Jr. and Cheryl Larson (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location.
