He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hinkel and Mae Hinkel (Voshell); his spouse Wanita Bruehahn; and his brothers, Donald, Russell, John, Richard, William, Delmar Hinkel, Alo Church and Ona Buck.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Hinkel (Rita) of Prairie and Janet Wachuta (James) of Des Moines, IA; his sisters, Bernadine Pries (Ronald) and Betty Pries (Robert); and his friend Maxine Henry of Dubuque, IA.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
