He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Kite and Alva Kite; his daughter Amy (Frields); his brother Dale Kite; his brother-in-law Howard Christensen; and his nephew Alan Kite.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Kite; his sister Shirley Christensen; his children, Lisa Alvarez (Guadalupe), Cami Mason, Cara Smith, Adam Kite (Jenny), Chay Gust (Betsy) and Coby Gust (Jenny); and his son-in-law Kerry Frields. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
