He is survived by: his wife Kay Comried; his children, Lonnie Comried (John), Barry Comried (Jill) and Rodney Comried (Annette); his grandchildren, Elizabeth VanderPloeg (Dan), Jordan Comried (Jenny), Madison Comried (Matt Pierson), Kayla Comried (Louis Hill) and Remington Comried (Evan Hall); his great grandchildren, Jaci Comried, Kaysen Pierson and Kane Pierson; and his siblings, Geneva Killian, Robin Hanover (Larry) and Chuck Comried (Mary).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (915 27th St, Marion, IA 52302).
