He is survived by: his wife Sara; his parents, Lorri Nelson and Nels Nelson Sr.; his stepmother Lorna Nelson; his brother Beau Nelson; his nephews, Wesley and Dominic Nelson; and his grandparents, Larry and Joyce Wright.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Morgan Creek Shelter (7212 E Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405).
