He was predeceased by: his grandfather Dennis Robinson; and his great-grandparents, John and Bertha Nicol. He is survived by: his parents, James Steffen and Diana Steffen (Baldwin); his wife Erin; his sons, Casey and Levi; his siblings, Tamsen Hodson (Nathan), Darian Donaldson (Jeffrey) and Jared Steffen (Shelby Scott); his grandparents, Bill, Dixie Baldwin and Janice Robinson; his in-laws, Greg and Cheryl Kytola; and his brothers-in-law, Dylan Kytola (Kim) and Tyler Kytola (Jess). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to Erin and the boys.
