He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth; and his nephew Jeff Spear. He is survived by: his wife Kathy of Newton, Iowa.; his children, James Jr. (Teresa Spear) and Amy (Eric Shumaker); his grandsons, Cameron, Cael Spear, Brayden and Cole Shumaker; and his siblings, Don and Nancy.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
