Harold Gruwell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Gruwell of Marion, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on October 5, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Perlie Gruwell and Virginia Gruwell (Speer); his wife Betty Gruwell (Stocker); and his son Michael Hull. He is survived by: his children, Jerry Gruwell (Nancy) and Pamela Huff (Dean); his daughter-in-law Kathy Hull; his grandchildren, Chad Huff (Dawn), Jennifer Gillen (Brad), Lindsey Davis (Scott), Sloane Huff and Brad Gruwell (Morgan); and his siblings, Albert Gruwell (Beverly), Gary Gruwell (Nancy), Sandy Helgeson (Dennis), David Gruwell (Kay), Frank Utterback (Melody), Jim Utterback and Barb Smith (Dennis). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
