With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Grant Rodney Wilken of Marion, Iowa, born in Monticello, Iowa, who passed away on October 20, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmund Wilken and Phyllis Wilken; his siblings, Sharon Coffland and Gaylan Wilken; his brothers-in-law, Wayne Holub and Carl Holub; and his parents-in-law, Stanley Holub and LaVern Holub.
He is survived by: his wife Patty (Holub); his children, Brian Wilken (Kari Lynn) of Cedar Rapids, Ross Wilken (Erin) of Downers Grove, IL, Barry Wilken (Amy) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Keely Buffo (Brian) of Batavia, IL and Spencer Wilken of Bloomington, IL; his grandchildren, Tyler, Kendra, Grayson, Beckett, Hunter, Oliver, Ella, Charlie, Sabrina, Natasha, Frankie and Silas; his stepgranddaughters, Emma and Sophie Hearn; his stepmother-in-law Pat Holub; his siblings, Laurel Solomon (Mike), Dennis Wilken (Rebecca), Diane Tuetken, Sheryl McElmeel (John) and Jill Iben (Jay); and his uncle Sam. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marion or the American Legion Post 298 in Marion in Grant's honor.
