With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lawrence Quinlan of Marengo, Iowa, whose life came to an end on April 4, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. and Barbara A. Quinlan (Tomash); his siblings, Jerry (Mary), Kathy (Kenneth) and Eileen (Leonard); his sons, Dan (Deb) and Joe; his great grandchild Grayson Seye; and his siblings-in-law, Francis Sippy and Kathryn Henik.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy, Eileen, Rose Ann and Jerry; his wife Jean Quinlan; his children, Mike (Julie) of Marengo, Joni Lawson of Ottumwa, Anne Quinlan of Fort Dodge and Ed (Janel) of Hamilton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Katherine Seye, Lee Quinlan, Meredith Beaderstadt, Tauni Netz, Tabatha Sundermeyer, Logan Nordstrom, Callie Lawson, Morgan Lawson, Holly Neuberger, Jeana Quinlan, Aidan Quinlan, Dominick Quinlan and Parker Quinlan; his great grandchildren, Kane, Lexie, Walker, Kyler, Breslin, Stetson, Everette, Kimia, Violet, Sonny and Archie; and his brother-in-law Roland Henik of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Homes - Marengo (298 W Washington St, Marengo, IA 52301). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (957 Western Ave, Marengo, IA 52301).
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for St. Patrick's Catholic Church- Marengo, Altar and Rosary Society-Marengo or the American Legion.
