He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Meier and Helen Meier (Reese); and his siblings, Allan, Melvin Meier, Nelda Weih and Mardelle Danielsen.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Louise Shelton; his sons, Jason Meier (Mary Lou) and Jeff Meier (Gwen); his grandchildren, Zachary Meier and Alexandra "Lexi" Meier; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Meier (Melvin) and Clifford Danielsen (Mardelle).
