It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Briggs of Marcus, Iowa, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Jo Briggs to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern F. Barnes and Mabel Barnes (Smith); her husband Donald Briggs; her grandson Austin Moore; her son Gary (Kathy Briggs); her brother Don Barnes; her half-siblings, Dean (Lu Barnes), Chester Barnes and Grace (Louie Morales); and her brother-in-law Dave Nelson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Holly (Darryl Del Housaye), Karen (Joe Jurasic) and Julie (Darren Moore); her grandchildren, John Del Housaye (Tiffany), Kent Del Housaye (Stephanie), Aaron Briggs (Nicole), Rebecca Moore and Will Thomas Moore; her great grandchildren, Livia Del Housaye, Tyler Briggs, Joselyn Del Housaye, Jacob Briggs, Ethan Del Housaye, Christian Del Housaye, Aspen Briggs, Tate Del Housaye, Claire Del Housaye and Kinsley Briggs; her sister Shirlee Nelson of Marcus, IA; and her sister-in-law Charlotte Barnes of Cherokee, IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Marcus Community Center or Grace United Methodist Church.
