He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carl Erick and Clara Lydia Olson (Ilten); his son James Olson; and his great grandchild Peyton Almagno. He is survived by: his former wife Lorna Viola Gottsche; his wife Lorna Olson; his children, Constance Sand (Al) of Cleghorn, Steven Olson (Mary) of Marcus, Richard Olson (LaDonna) of Odebolt, Michael Olson (Tammy) of Quimby and Jean Sassman (Jeff) of Storm Lake; and his brothers, Robert, John Olson of Jacksonville, NC and Paul Olson (Norma). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren plus step-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren plus step-greatgrandchildren and foster great-grandchildren.
