It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlyn Anderson of Marathon, Iowa, born in Spencer, Iowa, who passed away on November 27, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernal Anderson and Florence Anderson (Sundblad); and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Anderson. He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Fenton (Sunny) of Bondurant, Iowa, Gina Young of San Antonio, Texas and Kara Cover (Mark) of Elkhorn, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Mercedes Isaacson-Cover, Zach Fenton, Jess Fenton, Landrey Young, Ethan Young, Elijah Cover and Kyrie Cover; and his brother Gordon Anderson (Diane) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
