The memory of Roger L. Wood of Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Wood and Gladys Wood (Lieneman); his wife Doris; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Fogarty and Steve Spaete.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Ochoa (Paco) of Los Fresnos, Matthew Wood (Alison) of North Liberty, Paula Rasmussen (Paul) of Monona and Paul Wood (Irina) of Redding, California; and his siblings, Lois Fogarty, Alan Wood (Linda), Dale Wood, Leon Wood (Chris), Keith Wood and Karen Spaete. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Maquoketa American Legion Post #75 and VFW Post #3633. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:15 PM to 5:00 PM at 105 S Matteson St, Maquoketa, IA 52060.
