Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Order Flowers (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (210 E Platt St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
His contributions to athletics were recognized when he was named Administrator of the Year by the Iowa High School Athletic Association in 1998 and when he was inducted into the Upper Iowa University Athletic Hall of Fame for baseball in 2005.
