He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy Current Sr. (Wray) and James Current Sr.; his stepfather Art Otto; his wife Shirley Current; and his siblings, Robert, George, Donald Current and Beverly Durkop.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Eganhouse (Marty) of Anamosa, IA and Cory Current (Scarlet) of St. Louis, MO; his siblings, James Current Jr. of Maquoketa, IA and Donna Said of Maquoketa, IA; and his grandchildren, Micayla Hettinger (Bryce) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Derek Eganhouse of Anamosa, IA and Rebekah Stever of Chico, CA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
