He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Chaplin and Donna Chaplin (Patten); his son Shawn Chaplin; his brothers, Harry and Tim Chaplin; and his brother-in-law Tom Miller.
He is survived by: his grandson S. J.; his children, David Chaplin of Oxford Junction, Iowa and Marley Taube (Ryan) of Orion, Illinois; and his sister Jan Miller of Cobb, Wisconsin.
A reception will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Order Flowers (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
