She was predeceased by: her parents, Vince Nemmers and Louise Nemmers (Federspiel); her siblings, Roger and Audrey; her in-laws, Aileen Althoff, Phil Lambe, Ron, Carol Althoff and Loras Delaney; and her daughters, Shelley and Tara.
She is survived by: her husband Ken of Joseph's Catholic Church; her daughter Angie; her son-in-law Ben; her grandsons, Caleb, Elliott, Gabe and Toby; and her brother Ron Nemmers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (200 S Vermont St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Mary Lou's name be given to Sacred Heart Church or the Mayo Clinic.
