The memory of Mary A. Gilmore (Maquoketa, Iowa), who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 73, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman E. McCallister and Blanche M. McCallister (Paasch); her sister Joyce Bradshaw; and her sisters-in-law, Diana Henry and LeAnn McCallister.
She is survived by: her son Jeremy; her husband Thomas "Tom" Gilmore of Maquoketa; her daughter-in-law Sandy Gilmore of Maquoketa; her siblings, Richard "Dick" McCallister (Kathy Felten) of Maquoketa and Nancy Jamison of Maquoketa; and her in-laws, Larry of Maquoketa, Lorraine Gilmore of Maquoketa, John of Maquoketa, Alice Gilmore of Maquoketa and Lowell Henry of Maquoketa.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, Mary A. Gilmore memorial fund has been established.
