She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thompson and Anna Thompson (Zacharias); her husband Merle Den Herder; her grandson Jacob Yarolim; and her sisters, Arlyn Carlson (Ovie), Marilys Aune (Roger) and Zelda Kriese.
She is survived by: her children, Renea Yarolim (Doug) of Maquoketa, IA and Tory Den Herder of Maquoketa, IA; her grandchildren, Ashley Den Herder, Zachary Den Herder, Shelby Den Herder, Amber Yarolim, Andrew Yarolim and Austin Yarolim; and her siblings-in-law, Darrell Kriese of Alexandria, MN, Muriel Smith (Den Herder), Ruby Den Herder and Midge Den Herder.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Jackson County or the United Church of Christ in Maquoketa.
