She was predeceased by: her parents, John Garien and Helen Garien (Brewster); her husband Lester H. Lietz; and her brother Charlie Garien. She is survived by: her children, Michael Lietz of Maquoketa, IA and Barb Meyer (Chad) of Maquoketa, IA; her grandchildren, Christian Dundee, Destiny Dundee and Michelle Meyer; her great grandchild Braxton Roden; and her siblings, Bob "Junky" Garien of Maquoketa, IA, Judy Garien, Lois Kilburg and Patty Garien.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Janice G. Lietz memorial fund has been established.
