He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Adolph and Gladys Christine Romer (Orr); his siblings, Delos Romer and Mona Kay James; and his daughter Christle Yates.
He is survived by: his wife Marta Ellen Nicks of Maquoketa, IA; and his son Todd Romer (Ranae) of Britt, IA.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to the United Church of Christ in Maquoketa.
