With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Ardo Hankemeier of Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 64. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Ardo Hankemeier to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardo Hankemeier and Doris Hankemeier (Thillmony); his brother Ronald; and his nephew Jeff. He is survived by: his son Adam Hankemeier (Melissa) of Clarksville, TN; his grandchildren, Caleb, Landon, Ellie, Seth and Evan; and his sister Linda Duhme (Randy) of Maquoketa, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and three aunts.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to the David A. Hankemeier memorial fund c/o Carson Celebration of Life Center, 318 West Pleasant Street, Maquoketa, Iowa 52060.
