He is survived by: his close friend DeLarm; his wife Barbara Berner of Clinton, IA; his children, Todd Berner (Mary) of Lost Nation, IA, Anita Schnoor of Camanche, IA and Eric Berner (Kathi) of Lost Nation, IA; his grandchildren, Jordan, Joseph, Gavin and Camryn; and his sisters, Flora Fowler of Maquoketa, IA and Milly Oberman (Leon) of Elvira, IA..
A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Hospice of Jackson County or MercyOne Hospice of Clinton.
