He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry R. Ostert and Maudie M. Ostert (Ralston); and his brothers, Dwayne Ostert and Darrell Ostert. He is survived by: his wife Zulma "Sue" Ostert of Maquoketa, IA; his sisters, Janice Baresel of Maquoketa, IA and Phyllis Brinker of Maquoketa, IA; and his sister-in-law Joan Ostert of Maquoketa, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Order Flowers (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (18 N Willough St, Andrew, IA 52030).
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Hospice of Jackson County.
