She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Pratt and Eva Marie Edwards (Huffman); her husband Eugene "Gene"; her siblings, James Edwards and Rosalie Gilmore; and her grandson TJ Parmer.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Cole of Marion, IA, Karen Parmer (Ray Boyd) of Searsboro, IA, Thomas Parmer (Margaret) of Wyoming, IA, Jack Parmer (Holly) of Maquoketa, IA, David Parmer (Cindy) of Monmouth, IA and Karlene Slattery (Roger) of Asbury, IA; her grandchildren, Katie Cole (Cu Pham), Daniel Parmer (Beth), Douglas Parmer (Donna), Rachel Parmer, Mary Cosper (Jon), Jill Goodson (Phil) and Sara Marlowe (Derek); her great grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher, Amelia, Tabitha, Luke, Micah, Valerie, Sam and Lily; and her siblings, Randall Edwards (Sharon) and Rosie Gilmore (Edwards).
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (1019 Wesley St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Hospice of Jackson County, First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa, Friends of the Maquoketa Caves State Park or to a charity of the donor's choice.
