He was predeceased by: his father George Schmidt; his wife Sandra Joy Snedeker (Menard); his nephews, Joey and Dustin; and his niece Charity.
He is survived by: his mother Rosalie Schmidt (Bloyer); his daughter Maryrose Gladys Simmons (Jeremy); his granddaughters, Lillian, Mia, Keelyn (Imogen) and Diesel; and his siblings, George Schmidt (Karen), Ronald Schmidt (Rebecca), Kevin Schmidt (Angie), Sharlene Anderson, Rhonda Schmidt and Marlene Franzen.
