He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Reed; his children, Terry Thies (Dana) of Missouri, Sheryl Dierenfield (Steven) of Colorado and Douglas Thies (Melanie) of Wyoming; his grandchildren, Nick Thies (Jessica), Calihan Dierenfield (Carrie), Courtney Thurston (Clinton), Makalie Dierenfield, Anna Dierenfield Aiden (Peter), Ella Jean Thies, Kelsey Williams and Morgan Shurtz (Zach); his great grandchildren, Jayben, Hunter, Leah, Easton and Hazel; his siblings, Warren Thies and Judy Pohlman (Gary); and his siblings-in-law, Russ Reed (Karla), Ken Reed (Bev) and Florene Dean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
