She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Larson and Floy "Lella" Larson (York); her daughter Susan Lella Reed; her siblings, Darrell Larson (Barb), Melvin Larson and Eileen Henry (Boyd); her husband Arthur Wanamaker; her great grandchildren, Arthur Brenden and Matthew Brenden; and her close friends, Duane Fredrickson and Darlene Utterback.
She is survived by: her former husband Louis "Paul" Reed; her children, Paula Kluver (Clayton) of Smithland, Louis Reed (Terri) of Castana, Bruce Reed (Wendy) of Surprise, Wesley Wanamaker (Sandy) of Crofton, Larry Wanamaker (Jodi) of Inwood and Terry Wanamaker (Crystal) of Woodbine, Texas; her stepdaughter Nancy Yardley (Noel) of Alliance, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Todd, Kim, Brant, James, Luke, Caleb, Louis "Fritz", Renae, Mitchell, Madison, Andrea, Derek, Matthew, Brandon, Katelyn, Jordan, Zac, Suede and Diesel; her sister Evelyn St. Peter; and her sister-in-law Joyce Larson. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Melva was also a past member of the Ticonic Methodist Church until it closed its doors during the Covid pandemic in 2020.
