He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Doidge and Helen Doidge (McGrain); his sister MaryAnn; his brother-in-law Gerald Miller; and his stepson Thomas Kasinger.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Doidge of Mapleton, IA; his children, Thomas Doidge of Mapleton, IA, Stephen Doidge (Colleen) of Fresno, CA and Monica Oakes (Larry) of Marysville, CA; and his siblings, Jerome Doidge (Rosalind) of Laguna Beach, CA, Leroy Doidge (Diane) of Waukee, IA and Virginia Bates of Riverside, CA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Herman's name may be directed to the family to donate to the local American Legions in Mapleton and Castana as well as be used for masses in Herman's honor.
