He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Ann Vanderbur; his parents, Vern Vanderbur and Clementa Vanderbur (Hoy); his brother Charles Vanderbur; and his children, Kit Louise Vanderbur and Kirk Charles Vanderbur.
He is survived by: his children, Krista Elmquist (Toni) of Spirit Lake and Lars Vanderbur (Jennifer) of Papillion, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Adrienne Gill (Dylan), Erika McGrain (Phil), Mitchell Elmquist, Aidan Vanderbur, Madeline Vanderbur, Isabelle Vanderbur and Lily Vanderbur; and his great grandchildren, Adeline Gill, Crofton Gill and McGrain. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
