He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn S. Uhl; his parents, Loyde Uhl and Hildegard Uhl; his siblings, Joyce Uhl and Dale Uhl; his brothers-in-law, Leroy Gray and Keith Wessling; and his niece Louise Uhl.
He is survived by: his partner Vae Gindt of Mapleton, IA; his daughter Susan Uhl of Carroll, IA; his grandson Jacob Heitshusen; his daughter Margaret Uhl of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Charlene and Avra Welling; his daughter Elizabeth Gindt (Aaron) of Ames, IA; his grandsons, Alexander and Ethan Gindt; his son Thomas Uhl (Kerry) of Wright City, MO; his grandchildren, Karsten and Johann Uhl; his sister Jeanne Gray of Janesville, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Uhl of Lebanon, MO, Mary Wessling of Blair, NE and Gene Schram (Cheryl) of Lenexa, KS. He is also survived by 6 nephews and 4 nieces.
