He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Leroy "Roy" and Maurine Emma Towne (Johnson); his parents-in-law, Orville and Helen Thompson (Luscombe); his brothers, Ronald and Gaylen Towne; and his granddaughter Heather Allen.
He is survived by: his child Carey (John Swift) of Whiting; his wife Betty Towne (Thompson) of Mapleton, Iowa; and his children, Allan Towne (Becky) of Mapleton, Tina Allen (David) of Danbury, John Towne of Mapleton and Jason Towne (Julie) of Conrad, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
