He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis John and Reka Marie Junkman (Gerdes); his sisters, Delores Gerth and Norma Jean Ellis; his sister-in-law Jo Anne Widestrom; his son-in-law Tom Weideman; and his granddaughter Debbie Weideman.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Junkman of Manson; his children, Elaine Merritt (Jon) of Manson, Bruce Junkman (Lisa) of Chariton and Renee Weideman of Estherville; and his grandchildren, Gregory Merritt (Aimee), Jacob Merritt (Jessica), Jillian Morris (Reese), Eric Junkman (Krista), Katie Junkman (Colin), Bob Weideman and Joe Weideman. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
