Deborah Markert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deborah Markert in Manson, Iowa, who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 59. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deborah Markert to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her brother Chris Peterson; her father-in-law Butch Markert; and her grandparents, Lyall, Lavon Brown, Carl and Ida Peterson.

She is survived by: her husband Doug; her children, Reghan Deck (Patrick), Sydney and Cameron; her grandsons, August and Otto Deck; her mother Brenda Peterson; her siblings, Natalie Rolow (Tim) and Aaron Peterson (Julie); her mother-in-law Carrie Markert; and her in-laws, Steve Markert (Chris), Sister Regina, Connie Peters (Matt) and Danna Rae Snell (Brett). She is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church (510 E 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50021). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
