He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Sorensen and Edith Sorensen; his stepfather Gaylord Long; and his siblings, Merlin Sorensen, Jerry Sorensen, Dale Sorensen (Wilma) and Donna Parker (Gary).
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hall Rinehart; his sister Norma McMichael (late Thomas); and his sister-in-law Mary Beth Sorensen (late Jerry). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
