Wayne E. Curlile Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 7, 2025, at the age of 87, Wayne E. Curlile of Manning, Iowa, born in Eddyville, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Curlile and Nelson; his children, Edith Kay Curlile, Dr. Jay Curlile and Sonya Curlile; his great grandchild Gibson Doyle Wagoner; his sister Wanda Davidson (Dennis); his siblings-in-law, Eileen Wood, Darline Curlile, Barbara Simon and Charles Wanitschke; and his parents-in-law, Sibyl and Marion Yeck.
He is survived by: his wife Velaine Yeck of Manning; his daughter Cynthia (Jeff Bauer) of Manning; his grandchildren, Angela Wagoner (Aaron), Andrew Lapel (Chandran), Joseph Lapel and Jordan Lapel (Hillary); his great grandchildren, Adalyn, Cavan, Anabelle, Landry, Nels, Laine, Larkin and Jordan Junior; his sisters, Irma Wanitschke, Donna Crosby (Ron) and Carol Swanson; and his brother-in-law E. Yeck. He is also survived by many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ohde Funeral Home - Manning (108 1st St, Manning, IA 51455). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at the Manning Cemetery (1300 Center St, Manning, IA 51455).
Memorials may be directed to the family for a future scholarship to be provided in Wayne's name.
