He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schilling and Emma Schilling (Schroeder); his brothers, Alvin, Robert, Roy and Dewey Schilling; his parents-in-law, Sal and Evelyn Grundmeier; his brothers-in-law, Ed Reiter, Joel Grundmeier, David Grundmeier and Ron Ellsworth; and his aunt Amanda Clausen.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Schilling; his children, David (Linda) of Huxley, Mary St. Clair (Mike) of Ankeny and Christian (Bridgette) of Templeton; his grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon Schilling, Emma, Maya and Evan St. Clair; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Reiter of Dunkerton, Peggy Ellsworth of Corley, Bev Grundmeier of Manning, Alice Grundmeier of Des Moines, Helen Schilling of Yuma, AZ and Mark Grundmeier (Jen) of Belmond. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
