We bid farewell to Lila Schroeder of Manning, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 16, 2024 at the age of 95. Lila touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Mohr (Dethlefs) and Henry Mohr; her sisters, Marilyn Whited (Roy) and Marjorie Whited (John); her husband Wayne Schroeder; and her brother-in-law Orville Hinze.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Anderson (Gary) of Ottumwa, IA, Susan Stangl (Larry) of Manning, IA and Debra Weis (Daniel) of Winona, MN.; and her sister Iva Hinze of Carroll. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, their spouses, 17 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ohde Funeral Home - Manning (108 1st St, Manning, IA 51455). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Manning Cemetery (1300 Center St, Manning, IA 51455).
