Leo L. Willenborg Obituary
The memory of Leo L. Willenborg (Manning, Iowa), who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 100, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Willenborg and Ida Willenborg (Uhlenkamp); his siblings, Bernice Naber (Myron), Sally Lampe (Herman), Edna Tigges (Ray), Henry Willenborg Jr., Marvin Willenborg (Norma) and Jeanette Lampe (Barney); his daughter Patty Axman; his great grandchild Grace Marshall; and his brother-in-law Gene Huelshorst.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Willenborg; his children, Dale Willenborg (Dianne), Ron Willenborg, Linda Wolf (George), Kathy Puck (Ben), Steve Willenborg (Barb), Lori Schreck (Keith), Ken Willenborg (Christy Rose) and Theresa Nash (Rod German); his son-in-law Terry Axman (Kathie); his sister Elaine Huelshorst; and his in-laws, Ardella Willenborg, Norma Anthofer, Rita Bruch (Art), Bernie Haberl, Erwin Haberl (Mary-Jane), LeRoy Haberl (Carol) and Ed Haberl (Annette). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Church - Manning (203 Sue St, Manning, IA 51455). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (610 N East St, Manning, IA 51455).
Memorial contributions may be sent to the family, who will allocate them to the organizations that held the most meaning for Leo.
