Imelda C. Kerkhoff Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Imelda C. Kerkhoff (Manning, Iowa), who passed away on July 6, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Imelda C. Kerkhoff to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard J. and Mary T. Grossman (Berger); her husband Meryl Kerkhoff; her son Joel Kerkhoff; her son-in-law John Bertelsen; and her siblings, Marie (Bill Thielen), Louis Grossman (Marian), Helen (Charles Thielen), Robert Grossman, Freda (Joe Tigges), Rita (Ed Tigges), Delores Greenwood, Marilyn Heithoff, Lucy Anne and Andrew.
She is survived by: her children, Marty Kerkhoff (Debra) of Manning, Keith Kerkhoff of Manilla, Mary Bertelsen of Polk City, Ron Kerkhoff (Kim) of Algona, Dan Kerkhoff (Cheryl) of Manning and Scott Kerkhoff (Teri) of Coralville; her siblings-in-law, Lorena Grossman of Carroll, James Greenwood of Cottage Grove, MN and Wayne Heithoff of Des Moines; and her grandchildren, Jared Kerkhoff, Nick Kerkhoff, Ryan Kerkhoff, Kody Kerkhoff, Eric Bertelsen, Blake Kerkhoff, Brody Kerkhoff, Rachel Haubrich (Special Caretaker), Kari Kerkhoff, Amy Dehmer, Jessica Bertelsen, Kenzie Kerkhoff, Kiley Halbur, Alyssa Draeger, Erin Kerkhoff, Jason Ripke, Derek Ripke and Sara Croghan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Imelda was a CCD teacher, Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Co-Chairman of the Bloodmobile and engaged in volunteer work through RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program).
