It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Schmarzo of Manning, Iowa, born in Osage, Iowa, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Schmarzo and Josephine Schmarzo (Horner); his wife Donna Schmarzo; his brother Kenny Schmarzo; his sister-in-law Jean Kienast; and his grandson Matthew Hegg.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jan (Don Henkelman) of Dow City, Cara (Tom Blenderman) of Sioux City and Jill Warner of Aurora, Colorado; his grandchildren, Krista Gevik, Melissa Riesberg, Jennifer Albert, Mindy Andersen, Jacob Warner and Joseph Warner; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Kelly of Story City. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters.
