She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bruhn and Wilhelmina Bruhn (Hansen); her husband Melvin Nissen; her son-in-law Murray Hines; and her siblings, George, Herbert Bruhn and Louise Philpott.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Nissen (Linnet) of Manning, Gloria Thorson (Marc) of Akron, Judy Hines of Urbandale, Randall Nissen of Manning and Joan Carr of Slater; her grandchildren, Trent, Tracy, Lindsay, Chris, Timothy, Shelley, Jessica, Jeremy and Katlyn; and her siblings, Ann Stillman of Emmetsburg and William Bruhn (Louise) of Manning. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
